As per the latest report, air travel across Asia recently faced a very big disruption. Data from April 12 shows that the situation was much more critical than initially it expected. The disruption spread across a wide region, from Northeast Asia to the Gulf, affecting countries like Singapore, Japan, China, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and the UAE. On that single day, approximately 500 flights were cancelled and near about 3900 were delayed, which has created a very big issue for several passengers.
Several airlines were hit hard by the disruption, including China Eastern Airlines, Batik Air, SpiceJet and ANA Wings, along with many regional and Gulf carriers. This incident is actually being seen as one of the biggest single-day disruptions in the aviation industry of Asia in recent months, especially at a time when the industry is already dealing with rising regional tensions and increasing fuel costs across the globe due to the current war issue.
