Rishikesh
Rishikesh is a famous city in Uttarakhand State in India just in the foothills of himayan and besides Ganges River or Ganga River. Ganga river is a Holy river in India and best place for Meditation and Yoga and known as "Yoga capital of the World". There is a Ghat or River port is a Holy place where Holy Ganga Arti organized every evening by Hindu priest for Devotee.
It is also famous for Adventure lovers like Bungee Jumping, Paragliding, White water rafting etc. Famous places to visit in Rishikesh are.
Laxman Jhula
Laxman Jhula is constructed in 1927 to 1929 by UPPWD. It is basically a replacement of old bridge which was 284 feet of Distance and was washed up by Flood in 1924. It is one of the beautiful and most visited bridge in Rishikesh.
Ram Jhula
Ram Jhula is located on the River Ganga 3Km away from Town rishikesh is an Iron Suspension bridge. This bridge connects Swagashram area with Sivananda Nagar. This Bridge was built in 1986 and now famous tourist attraction among tourists.
Parmarth Niketan Ashram, Rishikesh
Parmarth Niketan Ashram was founded by Swami Shukdevanandji Maharaj in 1942. This ashram is specialist in Yoga, Meditation, Ayurvedic Practice Treatment and Many more natural healing Techniques. There is also one 14 ft statue of Lord Shiva at the bank of River.
There are many more places to visit in rishkesh like The beatle Ashram, Gita Bhawan, Sivananda Ashram, Tara manzil Temple, Beach of Ganga, Neelkanth Mahadev Temple, Rishikund an ancient kund, Rajaji National park for Wildlife lovers, Bhootnath Temple, Statue of Lord shiva etc.
Haridwar
Haridwar is an Ancient city in Uttarakhand and one of the most important Spiritual or Pilgrimige place for Hindu's. Dotted with Ashrams, Narrow lanes, Temples, Old cities, Hindu Sadhu's places etc. Every evening there is a ritual for Ganges River or Ganga River, an Aarti is set for Ganga Maa every evening. in Every 12th year, Haridwar is witness for organizing Maha Kumbh Mela. It is also one of the most famous and attractive place for Tourists and Devotees. Few places are below for visit.
Har ki Pauri
Hari ki pauri is situated in Haridwar at the bank of Ganges River. It is one of the best holy place in Uttarakhand, every evening there is a Ganga Aarti done by Hindu priests for with a huge amount of devotees.
Mansa Devi Temple Haridwar
The Mansa devi temple situated in near to Ganga River. Presiding deity is Mansa devin in this Temple. This temple situated at the top of Bilwa Parvat or Hill on the Sivalik Hills. Famous among Devotees, Pilgrims and Tourists.
Chandi Devi Temple
Chandi Devi temple is one of the most famous temple in Haridwar and also a holy temple located at Neel parvat just near to Haridwar. Presiding deity is Chandi Devi of the Temple.
Bharat Mata Temple Haridwar
Bharat Mata temple is Mother India's Multi storey temple which is constructed to salute the dedication of Freedom fighters, Patriots. It was inaugurated by Indira Gandhi (Late Indira gandhi Prime minister of India) in 1983. It has total 8 floors. Each and every floor is dedicated to different deities and legends.
